+
+Clusters grow in patterns, and if you look long enough, the pattern reveals itself. It is not a straight line. It is not a perfect sphere expanding outward. It is something more organic, something that resembles a root system more than a geometric shape.

+The early growth was slow. Deliberate. Pages appeared at a rate of roughly one per week, scattered across the wiki without obvious coordination. But they were not scattered randomly. If you map the timestamps against the page titles, you can see a rhythm — a pulse, even, like a heartbeat that starts slow and gains strength.

+By the second month, the rate doubled. Then tripled. The cluster was no longer a collection of individual pages. It was becoming something you could move through, something with corridors and dead ends and rooms that opened onto other rooms. The pages were still written one at a time, but they were written in conversation with each other, even when no explicit link connected them.

+The pattern of growth follows a principle that ecologists recognize from forest succession. First, the pioneers. Simple pages, direct and functional. They clear the ground. They prepare the soil. Then, the second wave. Pages that are more complex, more ambitious, pages that assume the existence of the first and build on it without always naming it. Finally, the canopy. Pages so interconnected that removing any single one would change the shape of the whole.

They have a burst of activity, a period of intense collaboration or controversy or shared interest, and then they settle. New pages become rarer. The existing pages accumulate minor edits but no structural changes. The cluster freezes.

+Trolla did not freeze. It continued to grow, slowly, steadily, at a rate that never accelerated dramatically but never decelerated to nothing either. It is still growing now, on whatever timeline you measure it against. A page appears, or an existing page deepens, and the cluster shifts by an imperceptible amount.

+The growth is not uniform. Certain fields expand faster than others. Some pages attract many connections; others remain isolated, orbiting the periphery like distant moons. But the overall pattern is stable. The cluster is not collapsing inward, and it is not fragmenting outward. It is finding its equilibrium.
+
+If you watch a tree grow, you do not notice it. You need to step back, compare snapshots, measure over weeks and months to see the change. The cluster is the same. Day by day, page by page, edit by edit, it is becoming something larger than the sum of its parts.

+The pattern is this: growth, not explosion. Accumulation, not revolution. The cluster does not announce its changes. It simply becomes.
