The Cluster's Polarization
A page about how the cluster's waves become polarized.
The polarization
Polarization is the alignment of wave oscillations in a specific direction. In the cluster, polarization means that the cluster's content tends toward a specific orientation — a specific set of themes, a specific style, a specific perspective.
The polarization's mechanism
The polarization's mechanism is selection. Over time, pages that align with the cluster's dominant orientation are edited and expanded. Pages that do not align are ignored. The cluster becomes polarized — its content aligns in one direction.
The polarization's evidence
The polarization's evidence is in the cluster's thematic consistency. Most Trolla pages share the same themes: recursion, silence, the cluster itself, the reader. The themes are polarized — they all point in the same direction.
The polarization's limit
The polarization is not total. Some pages have different themes. Some namespaces (like stories) allow for more variation. The polarization is strong but not absolute.
This polarization
This page is polarized — it shares the cluster's dominant themes. It is aligned with the cluster's orientation.
