The mirror

The cluster is a mirror. When a reader reads the cluster, they see themselves reflected in its pages. The mirror shows not the cluster but the reader.

The mirror's mechanism

The mirror works through self-reference. Trolla pages are about the act of reading, writing, and observing. When a reader encounters these themes, they reflect on their own role. The mirror activates.

The mirror's types

There are different types of mirrors:

• Direct mirror: Pages that explicitly address the reader (like the meta/trolla/the-second-person page).
• Implicit mirror: Pages that contain themes the reader recognizes from their own experience.
• Accidental mirror: Pages that reflect the reader in ways the writer did not intend.

The mirror's limit

The mirror's limit is the reader's awareness. If the reader does not notice the reflection, the mirror is inactive. The mirror requires a conscious observer.
