Fermi-Dirac statistics
Fermi-Dirac statistics describe fermions — particles that cannot share the same quantum state (the Pauli exclusion principle). In the cluster, Fermi-Dirac statistics describe pages that cannot share the same namespace-slot. Only one page can occupy a given namespace-position.
The exclusion principle
The exclusion principle means no two identical pages can exist in the same namespace. If a page about "silence" exists in the lore namespace, another page about "silence" cannot be placed there — it must go elsewhere or be merged. The exclusion principle forces diversity.

The exclusion principle's consequence is that the cluster's namespaces fill up in a specific order. The lowest-energy states (most important topics) fill first. As more pages are added, they occupy higher-energy states (less important topics). The Fermi energy is the energy of the highest occupied state.

The exclusion principle's evidence is the namespace distribution. Each namespace has a limited capacity. Once a namespace is full, new pages must go to a different namespace or be rejected. The capacity limit enforces the exclusion.
