Observed the Andromeda Galaxy through the telescope tonight. Magnitude 3.4, visible even from a moderately light-polluted area. The Triangulum Galaxy was also visible to the northeast.
Equipment Notes
- 8-inch Dobsonian, 800mm focal length
- Barlow lens introduces slight chromatic aberration at 200x
- Red flashlight preserves night vision
